Humans have advanced far but hardly changed.

I painstakingly used video transcription searches to figure out where I heard this from and I finally found it!

It was touched on in this video Something's Hiding Outside This Game... at 52 minutes.

The actual work being talked about is Three Versions of Judas by Jorge Luis Borges.

But if you break apart Google, how will they afford to keep killing off their own services!?!

That cautionary tale is extremely specific. But I will be sure to not cheat on my partner with my sperm donor while getting artificially inseminated.

I already planned on my next computer being Linux Mint, but it's getting more and more desired as time goes on.

I was playing Elden Ring when it began stuttering, turns out Windows Defender was just constantly reading the disk (I still have a hard drive). Finally turned off maximum priority (seemingly random) scans in task scheduler when I began stuttering again. This time it was Windows Compatibility Telemetry taking up 50% of the disk, until I finally found a way to turn that off.

It'd be so nice to have an OS that doesn't run random unnecessary things without your permission.

Sometimes when writing I encounter issues where they have too many allies that are willing to solve their conflicts.

I found a solution whenever this happens is to amplify each characters' flaws. Suddenly the conflicts no longer resolve themselves!

They should have immediately reached out their hand and run over saying "The hand is coming to get you!"

Japan has a similar worldview to Americans because there's been multiple points in history where we brute forced our ways on them, conveniently at times where their old ways were losing faith.

Forcing Japans borders open while they remained isolated with outdated weaponry, and the end of WW2.

Capitalism was drilled into their culture until it's teeth sunk in and they had their economic boom.

As someone who grew up with a friend that constantly made edgy Nazi "jokes" and was also a Brony, this is chillingly accurate.

Absolutely ridiculous to think Trump wouldn't kill non-americans.

The choice is genocide overseas, or tyranny here and genocide overseas.

It fucking sucks, but the GOP needs to be dismantled before we can bargain for better options.

Gas will expire eventually and you could just hotwire one of the many abandoned cars anyways, if the roads aren't blocked by said cars. Bullets will run out unless you find a gun shop, in which case you get guns anyways. Water purifying is easy enough to do without a machine.

My picks would be German Shepherd, Axe, First Aid, and Radio.

There's a reason we domesticated dogs, they are useful in so many different ways like hunting, defense, and security (and companionship). Especially German Shepherds, you can see the damage they do when used by police.

Axes are survivalist 101 and some are practically multi tools despite being simple.

First Aid because infections, zombie or not, are the real killers throughout history.

The radio's more of a gamble, but it's your best chance to find a new settlement, monke strong together and all that. Also you can maybe stay informed on what's happening in other parts of the country. (And it lets me flex my Amateur Radio License).

I would argue no, in fact I feel like the Fediverse is a functional version of decentralization as opposed to Block Chains.

Block Chains are resource heavy, to the point of effecting the ecosystem. They're supppsed to be 100% reliable yet major Block Chains have already needed to fork their databases, plus it's very easy to scam and hack into wallets without any legal repercussions. And they have little to no use cases so we had to invent uses like Crypto and NFT. (Yeah there could be use cases for deeds and stuff, but with the unreliability I don't want Block Chain anywhere near my house deed).

Meanwhile we have the Fediverse, which is essientially like a bunch of Discord servers stringed together, and it accomplishes a decentralized social network without the planet destroying or needless money speculation added on top.
