How are you guys writing so much in Lib comms (federated ones)? I guess that's just how this place is.

Just make sure to follow the rules of the comm you're in tho.

Oh yeah, I somehow blocked that from my memory. I ran into that too. Iirc they mostly fixed it but I think Java is still different, which is weird to be honest.

If you don't mind me asking, what's the issue with Fedora? It doesn't have really old packages like RedHat or CentOS. And things are voted on by the community (yes RedHat has made proposals, but a lot of them fail).

I mostly agree with you, on RHEL and CentOS tho and on Debian.

Haven't tried Gentoo tho.

It took me a few hours as a noob to be honest. I can understand not wanting to do that though. It's totally fair. The ArchInstall and the ArchWiki essentials made it fast.

Personally, didn't have to configure every last detail, since I installed Gnome and most stuff comes with it out of the box. If you're going with Sway or Hyprland tho... ye you will have to configure detail by detail.
