I can't wait for them to get rid of birthright citizenship and only too late realize that means they must leave the country.

Some redness and temporarily paralysis, but nothing permanent, unless it's hidden in my brain. Disappointed I didn't get superpowers.

Ha! "Potential"

Yeah, was fine in both cases. First time it was cloudy but not storming. Literal "bolt out of the blue" that liked me more than the large metal pole next to me. Second was trying to leave a park before the storm rolled in (obviously didn't quite make it).

Oklahoma, but different places and times of year.

No, just lucky I guess.

Yes. Witnesses figured I died each time. Temporarily paralyzed the first time and with a "missing" few seconds, knocked out cold the second time. I try to avoid thunderstorms these days.

Ouch. Hopefully they didn't actually feel that. I didn't when it happened to me, either time. Conveniently woke up later.

And independent has no primary, so those are the numbers to get on the relevant ballot.

[-] Vraylle@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 5 months ago

Indeed, just has to get signatures like any other candidate.

Democratic candidates have to get 26,000 signatures.

Republican? 52,863 signatures.

Independent? 219,403 signatures.

Yeah, seems completely fair and balanced.

Cool, down voted for being pro-democracy!

[-] Vraylle@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 5 months ago

I say fine, if that's what it takes to get on the ballot in this broken system. Getting on the ballot should be trivial. Crazy/stupid/evil should also have easy access. And everyone should have easy voting access to crush these loons.

I've been using Windows since version 3.1. My rig isn't cutting edge but is still plenty good, so naturally it isn't supported for an upgrade to 11. The AI spyware in 11 is just another reason not to switch to it even if I could. Once 10 hits end of life, I'm putting Mint on it.
