The attack was discovered in the morning of July 16th (CET), and immediate actions were taken to stop it and mitigate consequences. We immediately disconnected some systems to contain the attack, and TOMRA is currently assessing whether customers and employees might experience reduced stability in our services. I'm not surprised. How can this be sustainable? Images are embedded in the websites with no way for Gfycat to make any revenue.
Also they haven't paid Google for using their Cloud so they are moving their data.

I think it's still struggling with the high user influx from Reddit and the 3rd party apps which stopped working today. And probably after the upgrade caches have to be rebuilt. Hope it improves soon.
