Skepticism is healthy in this day and age, but that site is also biased btw. Even the founder says their methodology isn't unbiased.

When determining bias, there isn’t any true scientific formula that is 100% objective. There are objective measures that can be calculated, but ultimately there will be some subjective judgment to determine these. We have put up a scale with a yellow dot on each page that shows the degree of bias for each source. Each page also has a “detailed report” section that gives some details about the source and explains their bias.

When calculating bias, we are looking at political bias, how factual the information is, and links to credible, verifiable sources. Therefore, the yellow dot may indicate political bias or how factual a source is, or in many cases, both. It is important to note that our bias scale is based on the USA political scale, which may differ from other countries. For example, the Democratic Party of the USA is considered centrist or even right-center in many countries worldwide; however, in the USA, they are considered Left-Center. Please keep this in mind if our ratings seem off in your native country. (08/08/2022)

It's a site run by one guy and 3 volunteers. Not really the greatest source.

The top three are also nations where toilet paper is not available and you have to use your hands to wipe.

Where in the world are you getting this from?

They have Toilet paper, They also have Bidets.

Ah yes, the typical two-sideism crap.

Well if Aljazeera is the problem in your eyes, do you also think Ynet which reported it in the first place and shows pictures (which is what Aljazeera based their report on had you bothered to read the article), is also biased?

After 9/11, USA went into a bloodlust, invading Afghanistan because they (Taliban) wanted proof that Osama bin Laden was involved with the terrorist attack first. bin Laden fled to Pakistan, but the USA didn’t invade them, nor threatened to. Instead, USA just kept their boots on foreign soil because, hey, free real state and cheap poppy, amirite?

Just to add to your point.

From way before 9-11

Before the Invasion

After the invasion.

Fairly new to Kbin, for some reason my "notifications" are always empty. If someone responds to one of my comments, I don't see anything that tells me that they did. Both my notifications and messages are permanently empty.

Is that expected behavior? If not, how do I fix it?

The hilarious part (in a bleak fashion), is I can't find many other articles discussing this.

Then everyone will panic and go crazy when someone like Trump wins and they have access to all this. History repeats.

“These updates depend on many device-specific non-Google hardware and software providers that work with Google to provide the highest level of security and stability support,” said Peter Du, communications manager for ChromeOS. “For this reason, older Chrome devices cannot receive updates indefinitely to enable new OS and browser features.”

Bull. Shit.

So I picked up this Wii, and it appears to be softbricked. Original SD card is not included but I suspect it was a bad mod or something. The GPU DOES output, but the only thing it produces on screen is a black screen with a single white dot in the top right corner of the screen.

I am unable to boot into recovery mode via spamming buttons/DPad on the GC controller.

Any suggestions on how to fix/unbrick this?

Not much else needs to be said tbh. Fuck Spez.

Edit: Not sure why imgur marked the album as NSFW, but there's nothing NSFW in it other than the name of one of the mods including the word "bitch"

This feels like one of two things;

1- Their threats aren't actually working, and they don't have enough quality mods to replace the ones they've overthrown (as evidenced by subs where the mod teams were nuked remaining frozen)

2- PR move to pretend like they're listening and reduce anger.

Seriously, what is the point of this attempt AFTER they've nuked so many mods and users?

Edit: I feel like this comment is right on the money

wasure_boshi

better yet, they will listen but only in "small groups" of people "they pick" as to curate the the overall mod "response" and then will claim that all mods across all communities will share this same slated opinion.

Watch.

By the way, this announcement helped me solve where the ugly pixelated Reddit app logo is from: you can see it in Reddit’s r/Place announcement video. For some reason, that video also includes pixelated images of a fire in a garbage can.

Brutal.

Run weighted polls to make big decisions in your community, like getting input on rules changes or deciding how to distribute Points.

Unlike regular polls, these polls give a larger voice to people who have contributed more to the community. The more Community Points someone has earned, the more weight their vote carries

Am I the only one that thinks this is a horrible idea considering the creator to lurker ratio?

Another stealth benefit to reddit with all this API crap, is that it'll be much harder to tell since most of the tools people use to analyze accounts won't work anymore. Keeping in mind Reddit started out by inflating their user numbers.

Hello All,

I'm trying to assist in migrating a few subs over to Kbin/Lemmy, I'm still confused on the difference between Kbin and Lemmy.

Regardless, have been looking into tools to migrate content from the subs, and came across this one https://github.com/rileynull/RedditLemmyImporter

However, the readme assumes readers have knowledge they don't have, so it's for example not clear to me if it's possible to "import" the database created by this tool to an existing lemmy instance or if I would need to create an entirely new instance just to host the content (and then what? can instances be "merged"?)

Thanks for your time in advance.
