What started as a random rental from a local video store became one of my most played and most recommended video game experiences.

I'm actually writing this while watching.

I.. I don't know. It's not terrible, but I am not finding the first episode to be all that promising. It kind of just feels like the first reboot. I'm sure there will be some good episodes though!

One of the most noticable things for me is the sound of Billy West's characters. They all sound much lower now.

Also, my magazine name for this is now obsolete!

Anyone else have any thoughts?

Persepolis Rising (book 7 of The Expanse) the introduction of the Laconia magnetar-class ships were always really cool in my imagination, haha. They just seemed so powerful and impossible to take on.

I think it all comes down to why does Meta do anything? Money. And, the timing of their supposed interest in the Fediverse is after the second notable exodus from a major social network. Meta sees more people & more engagement here which equates to more potential profits on their end.

I looked into Mastodon after the whole Twitter thing in November, but I didn't really use Twitter, so an alternative at the time didn't make sense for me. However, I was an avid Reddit user for the last nine years, so when these API changes came to light and my app (Sync) was going to cease to exist, well I took the Fediverse alternatives more seriously and realized that ActivityPub is awesome technology that is now invaluable to the internet.

I'm here to stay.

I honestly am a huge Nolan fan but could not agree more with his audio lately. I was really frustrated in the theater during Dunkirk trying to figure out what the heck Tom Hardy was saying. Tenet, at times, was also pretty bad. I still really liked both movies, but they would have been better experiences if I could have not dedicated so many resources to hear a word in a garbled mess of voice.

I'm on Android and I use Apple Music. It's very good and well worth it. This is coming from someone who still despises Apple, but my partner used Apple Music and we got a family plan.

People have been saying that for years and yet Nintendo is performing quite well. The average consumer does not care about resolutions and framerates. If a Switch 2 does come out in the next couple of years, I would expect it to perform similarly to a PS4 Pro/Xbox One X with 1080p and 60fps as @ampersandrew had already mentioned.

For me, I love going back to the Season 2 opener. It starts out strong with no one, not even Fry, recognizing the name Titanic. It's got robot software humor, Zapp, a parody of a famous movie, and so much more.

I'm not surprised; I was killing some time at Micro Center yesterday and couldn't believe how high the prices were. Shelves were pretty much completely full. I found better deals over in the laptops for GPUs. At least with that purchase you get a whole computer.

Good news everyone!

I have zero experience moderating communities on reddit-like websites. My incompetence knows no bounds, why, I don't even know how to select a good moderator.

Anyway, any volunteers?

!thescarydoor@kbin.social is a Futurama subreddit that I am shamelessly self-promoting. I hope that's okay.

Edit: I don't know how to link it properly, I guess.

Or kbin (the one I'm on 😁)

I'm cautious of this new reboot. Seasons 1-5 are some of my favorite episodes of TV.

How or what are you all feeling about it?

I'm on kbin, but this all seems to be a decent replacement. Pretty cool I can sub to Lemmy posts

I loved Death Stranding as a whole. There's some QOL things I think that could be improved upon in DS2, but the overall gameplay loop was satisfying. Heck, I still find myself making deliveries after completing the game just to relax and unlock even more stuff. I recently just got a backpack cover after 70 hours?? I didn't even know it was in the game. Incredible, lol
