American's have been going down the dumbass road for a long time. And you rarely meet someone who is well rounded like you meet in Europe. Not to say there aren't dumbasses in Europe. There are many. But Americans don't even seem to try. Not anymore.

I dont even want to talk to half the people I know anymore lol. I stopped using FB but keep it running because there are many years of pics and what not for family. And when I bring it down people freak out and think something is wrong with me. Other than that, it has been stripped of any identifying information, only has people I know and I never use it anymore. That was the only real 'personal' place I had on the internet. Everything else is fake names and whatnot, always has been.

If she has a winnable case, the D. is fuuuuuucked.

Lemmy and Mastodon require some extra thought processes that most people do not want or can't work through. They want instant, fast and as much of it as possible.

Somehow this has to become so easy to understand and use that even the dimmest bulbs in society will have no trouble using it.

Upside? This will bring more usage and adoption. Downside? This will bring in more trash.

I am white but born and raised in a pacific islander nation around pacific islanders. There are no men on the planet more manly and tough than pacific islanders IMO. But they are also humble, caring, giving, loving, respectful and in general some of the best people you will ever meet in this life. Piss them off and watch a real warrior comes out.

Americans have not had it hard in a long time. No world wars have been fought on our soil. The wars we have been in since WW2 have not been very popular. I grew up gen X and we pretty much thought the world was going to end and that the previous generations handed us a pile of shit.

The kids now days look at all of us like a bunch of hypocritical ass hats. If I was a kid watching the shit adults are doing and talking about now, I would not be proud either. I would be embarrassed. I am embarrassed of what we have/are becoming. A lot of older people sit around and bitch about the younger generation but we are the ones that raised them. We are the ones not taking care of business like we told them they should. We are the ones babbling nonsense, disrespecting the law, doing all the things we told our kids not to do. Why the hell should they listen, or be proud or form the same values as we may have? We are literally showing them that none of this matters and then turn around and blame them for telling us all to fuck off.

Just kidding. I like it here. Sometimes a little boring but maybe that is a good thing. I have plenty of things to do. This is a nice break and not stressful like some other sites.

Missouri is one of the worst states ever. I found nothing good there. The people can't even drive.

I have no idea why he is even there. As far as I can tell it is just because of his last name. Why is anyone listening to him or care what he has to say? I can't even get passed that part.

Not sure what this place will evolve in to but it seems like a nice replacement for Reddit. There is a lot of work to be done for people to re-build the communities and transfer the information but if enough people buy in to it... years down the road this could be the place to be.

This cheap little indoor drone while working from home during COVID to mess around with on breaks and lunch. Turned out to be a ton of fun and in to a full blown FPV drone hobby/obsession.
