About to unseat Checo as minister of defense.
I play Blizzard's MOBA, Heroes of the Storm, every now and then.
Similar to most others, the community can be toxic as fuck, but the "vs AI" mode is fun enough to keep me coming back.
That freedom is exactly what I like about ttrpgs too. How do you do it solo?
I always say it's not ripping off, it's an homage! I love pulling inspiration out of other media.
So rewarding when they engage with it like that! I've been trying to plant foreshadowy bits so they have a few "oh damn" moments coming up.
I'm much better at tweaking preexisting things than coming up with my own off the bat, so I havent tried a fully homebrewed setting, but I've played in two now with another group. Taking the bones of a module and fleshing it out is pretty satisfying though, have you looked into any to run?
Absolutely, the whole movie felt like that which was a big part of it's charm. Watching the first scene I could imagine the players asking the arrakoan chancellor's name, which the DM hadn't prepped, so he just made up Jarnathan on the spot..
The fat dragon, Themberchaud, is actually a canon obese dragon. He's in the Out of the Abyss module and some others.
My bugbear barbarian's push/pull/lift capacity is over 2000 lbs, his carry capacity is around 1200, and I didn't even try to build him to do that.
It's so fun.
As an American I thought the one that sounded most like "Yee-haw" was for me.
Same, even if the show/movie I watched is 5 years old I'd still go through the discussion thread on Reddit.
My man had a train run on him, that pass from Checo was beautiful though.
