When Putin took over Russia and turned it into him getting 99% of the votes every election, most people of Russia did not leave. When Putin cracked down on journalists, free speech, and gay/queer people, hell even his own oligarchs aren't safe next to a Russian window, most people of Russia did not leave. When Russia invaded Ukraine, the first and second time, most people of Russia did not leave.

Have Russians bought the Kremlin propaganda hook, line and sinker? What does it take for a citizen to say enough is enough before they leave their country? Do Russians lack the means to afford the ability to leave their homeland, potentially forever from friends, and generations of families? Unfortunately, most people whether it's Russia or the US, simply do not have the means, the finances, the connections, or the resources to leave. A minority of us will have access to this luxury, but for a majority of us, we are simply fucking stuck. And in case it's not clear, I do not support Russia, I hope the Putin regime collapses sooner than later.

I know the Harlem Shake was a fad many would like to forget, but these stills were from the first video version of it that I saw and I thought it was pretty cool the Norwegian Army had a pretty sweet sense of humor about it.

For nostalgia, here's the video if anyone wants to take a travel back in time! - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4hpEnLtqUDg

This is your wake up to stop using Chrome and Chromium based browsers (e.g. Brave, Vivaldi, etc). Switch to Firefox if you haven't already.

Would it be possible to add an option to move the upvote/downvote area to the left side? It would be great for those that are left handed vs right handed.

We already have the ability to move the thumbnails to the left or right side, which is great and would love to see an option like this make its way in too. If it’s not possible no worries but I figured it can’t hurt to ask, thank you!

As you can see in the above screenshot, the communities on the left hand side like lemmyworld, technology, and microblogmemes all have different font sizes. This is very jarring and needs correcting, plus it’s much harder to read small fonts when it’s all squeezed in there.

One solution could be to put the communities name on the line above the post title or perhaps put it below the upvote/down vote line so it has more space. Please hope you can fix this, as it makes readability difficult, thank you.

This is a screenshot from Narwhal 2 (one of the last still active Reddit apps), and for context the layout is a lot more consistent. What I mean specifically is the community heading title is always on the far left indent, and it’s always color coded for easier readability. Also for consistency the upvote/downvote numbers are always on the far right indent. My eyes always know where these two things are in that regard. On Avelon the upvote numbers after the community title so the numbers/the button to upvote them aren’t always in the right place. This is a small nitpick to be sure, but as a graphic designer for consistency it would be great to keep things in places they should always be. If you have any further questions, I’m happy to expand and explain my reasonings. Also thank you so so much for making a wonderful app.

This may be an odd request but as it stands now there are at least two ways to upvote/downvote a post, either clicking the arrow buttons on the left side of the post or the big rounded buttons on the right side too.

I think for a very minimal, clean and simple look if you could add an option to remove/hide the big rounded upvote buttons. I normally tap the little small arrow on the left so the big rounded buttons take up space.

Please let me know if this is already being worked on or if it’s something you might consider to add in the future I’d greatly appreciate it.
