Funny how they leave out that taking just 1% of the wealthiest for a nice dirt nap would help more

I get wanting to have hope but saying Starmer was the best PM in 14 years is a bar so low its unlimboable. And I'm not sure that it's even true, many of his policies built on the cruelty and inequality of the Tories and he has openly supported a genocide.

So please, please, please do have hope. Just not with the labour party. If you must support a party lend the greens your time and energy and support but government isn't going to save any of us. We need to work in community for ourselves. My personal belief is in anarchy but even supporting and organising your local LGBTQ+ groups is far more impactful than anything government will offer

Ahhhhndy Burnham (startrek.website)

Wow listening to Andy Burnham introduce his first cabinet meeting and every second noise out of him is ahhhhm.

Thought we were meant to be impressed with his canny communication skills and ability to talk without notes.

But more importantly it looks like his policies suck too

Main tip It's about training the human (i.e. you) not the puppy

Second point: Big rewards for new behaviours you want to promote like teaching new obedience and slowly reduce rewards as time goes on/increase difficulty for same rewards

Do not punish, punishment is attention and gives its own reward when a dog is bored. Also pupuy didn't sign up for this so what right so you have to punish

Final point If a dog training class does not cover this or goes all pack leader shite, walk away.

There's a joke about an Irish man in a coma who wakes up decades later.

He asks what year it is and all that jazz, before asking:

"Tell me, is there still all that sectarian violence between Celtic and Rangers?"

"Yeah, unfortunately that's still going on."

"That's a shame, but tell me are we still beating them in football?"

"Yeah last game we won 1-15 to 2-10"

First of all, good on you

Would your local independent/radical bookshop be willing to help with some donations or discounts?

Or are ebooks an option? I think verso or other might have options but the may be blocked by fascist prison state

I'm in a similar boat myself but week 2 into a new role. I'm planning to stick it out and see as although induction was non-existant and I still don't know what they actually want me to do, I have scope to make the role my own over time. I've also burned my bridges in my last place by forming an informal union so sticking with it, is the only option. But for you I think stick it out and if it's not working after 6 months apply somewhere new, you've been headhunted already and loyalty to companies doesn't pay. Also if you are still friends with your manager, eventually something will come up even if the window closes for now. Best of luck with whatever you choose to do
