Are you by any chance using an ivory paper? Mine looks like it has a hint of purple too in my Midori.
I get this too, and I hate it. Is there any way to stop it?
It's an interesting ink. When the ink starts wet it almost looks like a shade of green, as it dried it becomes more and more grey as the name implies. I recommend you get a sample.

I only have an add on. I rent an apartment so I’m not buying the full thing… yet.
