I would definitely use public transportation if it were an option where I live. Cars are too damn expensive.

Does anyone feel like they’re missing social cues that neurotypical people understand without being taught? I’m missing out on career opportunities because of it. Does any type of guide/rulebook exist to effectively mask?

We’re still very much in the dark ages when it comes to mental health. It sounds like the metrics may need some fine tuning. But if you find a medication works well for you, you’ll have your diagnosis for sure.

I think any good therapist would be fine with you trying to self diagnose. It’s only natural to try to find a way to explain our experiences.
