تتضامن المنظمات الموقعة أدناه مع أهالي محافظة مرسى مطروح على خلفية أحداث القتل خارج نطاق القانون إثر ملاحقة الشرطة لأحد الأشخاص المطلوبين للعدالة، بحسب الشهادات المتواترة والمتطابقة للأقارب والشهود والمصادر المحلية. كان من بين الضحايا الشابين يوسف سرحاني وفرج الفرازي –من أقارب الشخص المطلوب– اللذان تعرضا للقتل بعدما سلمهم الأهالي للجهات الأمنية بمدينة النجيلة في مطروح، مقابل الإفراج عن عشرات من نساء المدينة اللاتي استخدمن كرهائن؛ لإجبار المطلوبين للعدالة على تسليم أنفسهم. تجدر الإشارة إلى مقتل ثلاثة من أفراد الشرطة في بادئ الأمر أثناء مطاردتهم لضبط الشخص المطلوب للعدالة.
