I wouldn’t say that capitalists do no work at all, that’s just a way to exploit people in the middle class to say the people on the lower class think they do no work and they are lazy.

It perfectly fits the metaphor because while the person on the right will tell a story about how when they started all they had was trees and a vision, it’s clear to see they were able to have that vision because of the tools that were handed down to them from the people before, that they selfishly hand removed from the equation not remembering they needed at least a scrap of iron and some fibers to make the vision seem reasonable.

I was going to go to school again for mechatronics in 2020, it was going to be a very lab intensive course, but there was this freaky pandemic that Trump was saying would be gone in a weeks time, and it didn’t look that way.

Anyway, I had a friend in that course, no credits for lab, no discounts on tuition or costs, they felt ripped off.

I’m so glad I didn’t sign that paper.

Jeff Bezos handed the CEO position to Jassy or whatever the fuck their name is prior to the rocket launch so if it went catastrophically wrong the stock price wouldn’t absolutely tank. Jeff is still a big shaker and mover with the board and effectively is still the CEO, even if not on paper.

As a side note, that was the trip they hyped up as “getting new perspectives from artists” and sent Shatner up there. When they came back down shatner was SHOOK and basking in the afterglow that a new perspective of the insignificance of their self brings and starts trying to articulate such a mind altering experience. Bezos met that energy by pulling out booth babes to champagne shower himself.

My SO’s mom is dying of Glioblastoma.

She wanted to go to Easter sunrise service at SeaWorld Orlando this year, and it isn’t in my nature to deny a dying person their religious comfort so I took her.

The whole sermon was an excerpt from one of the early church letters where the writer was telling Christians to worry amongst themselves, and stop trying to enforce their doctrine through the courts, settle it themselves like actual Christians and by the way maybe stop fucking your mom and molesting young boys. They turned the whole sermon into “you can’t receive gods grace if you are queer trans or anything like that” for an hour.

I don’t understand how you take a ritual service about rebirth and forgiveness and twist it and pervert it to be used to wag your finger at people who aren’t likely even a part of your church in the first place which is what the fucking letter you’re reading from was saying in the first damn place.

Also interesting note, they were surprisingly quiet about the fucking your own mother thing.

As someone who was an ironic internet nazi in my youth, it's been a long hard road to recovery and self love, but sometimes I am a little obtuse when it comes to certain dog whistles. How is this a fascist meme? Is it the overall gatekeepy bit of We (the people who could read technical information about errors and understand them) are superior to Them (the oppsie poopsie soft skulled idiots) and deserve to have a higher place in the societal hierarchy? Cause that's about the only way I can barely make this fit into that definition.
