I tend to put 2 - 3 days worth of stuff in the fridge, then freeze the rest (if it's something reheatable)
I then eat something else from the freezer for the rest of the week so I don't eat the same thing for a whole week.

Even reading the article, I'm not clear - when they say dumping, do they mean that these are used units that they are effectively recycling by reselling to other countries (good?) Or companies deliberately building piles of bad units that don't meet local standards to export (bad)?

As long as the data they lost doesn't get more details, that get more detail that gets customer data... or anorher signing key....
The problem is that a community could be screwed over because their specific instance either runs out of money and goes offline, or gets blacklisted for doing iffy things to make enough money to stay afloat.
Sure their existing content will be backed up on other instances, but the users will then have to create accounts elsewhere and work out which instance will host their new community.
