Yes absolutely! Inspired Dark Souls, future zelda games, & basically every indie game to come out afterwards.

I started The Last Guardian, still need to go back & finish it. I liked a lot of what it was bringing to the table, but the pacing dragged a bit in the middle imo.

Xenoblade Chronicles 1 has an amazing opening, with the Bionis & Mechonis fighting it out. Then freezing in place & cutting to thousands of years into the future, where sudeenly you realize those giant gods in rhe intro are the game world that you're going to be exploring.

Spoilers for XC1What's even better is how almost every sentence in this intro is proven to be wrong. And the opening foreshadows the real conflict of the game for those watching closely.

Trans gal here! For a time I identified similarly to your last paragraph. I wasn't sure what I was was, but I didn't feel particularly male or female. I told people I was nonbinary because I wasn't sure where I was in that mix for a more specific label.

Eventually I realized that I aligned as more of a tomboy in fashion, but my identity felt firmly female despite my shifts in expression. That was my journey, wishing you luck on finding yourself!

Definitely haha, the book uses footnotes at times to try and distinguish between the cyberpunk fiction & real-world incarceration practices since the two overlap so much

When I called my doctor to get an appointment for HRT they said their next available was in 2 days, insanely quick.

Yeah it's sad realizing my parent's love really was conditional

Pathologic 2!

It's a rich world & narrative that throws you in the midst of an incredibly stressful seemingly impossible scenario and asks you to try your best. I love how the intense survival mechanics caused me to compromise my morals, starting the game trying not to kill anyone and then playing day 8 seeking out people to kill & steal stuff from. The mind map is also one of the most genius "quest logs" I've ever seen, giving you a feel for your characters emotions and providing hints on what to do next. The fact that anyone can die of disease & end quest lines makes it that much more important that you do your best to save them.

The animation quality dip this season has been especially noticeable, hell they have a couple scenes where it's static talking for several minutes (looking at you pancake scene) and nobody's moving. It's been that way since the beginning, but it's getting really old after seeing what shows like X-Men 97 can pull off.

It's definitely more expensive, especially for owning rather than renting (median house price is like $500-600,000) . There are more affordable neighborhoods scattered around the area but yeah monthly costs are pretty high. I personally felt the trade offs were worth it for me to move, but totally understand the cost being a big issue.
