When the benefits listed are the legally required minimum holiday and pension, plus on site parking. Usually these are also paired with a competitive salary.

Edit: it's late, I can't read and wrote about things in a job advert rather than an interview. I'm going to bed, maybe I'll try do some Internet tomorrow.

Perhaps, but overall it's a more positive step than continuing indefinitely.

I was only speculating about why, I have no more information available than you. It could be for blood sport, but I think that is far less likely.

The debate around whether or not it has any effects is also fuelled by flawed conclusions on either side of the argument, I'm not wading into that mess...

I assume there is an alternative solution to TB spread, which takes some time to set up. Also, perhaps if you've contracted and legislated that culling is take place you can't easily revert that.

I tip my hat to Ferrari, well done.

I hope they didn't make the same error as Mercedes in Spa...

The mechanics are suffering from sticky nuts, because it's so hot in Italy. FIA needs to do something for them.

I was excited about the prospect of Norris P1 Verstappen P7 for the championship. The championship isn't looking so exciting now, but the race should be good between Ferrari and McClaren.

First I want to say hello, I have only 3 lovely chickens to start off with as I learn the ropes.

Secondly, my neighbours son is absolutely obsessed with the chickens. It's really nice, but he is also feeding them huge amounts of wild bird seed and I'm a little worried. There are mounds of the stuff being poured over the fence!

I have spoken to his parents nicely and asked them to stop him doing so, which they understand.

In case this doesn't get resolved quickly, is there any danger that this can cause harm to my chickens?

Any idea what this is? Many leaves are dying on the plant, wondering if there is a way to save it. I have forgotten the name of the plant, but will update when I find it.

Edit Ctenanthe Lubbersiana - thanks @squeezeyerbawdy

I have a dreamcatcher which I thought had a dying leaf or something, but it looks like this could be something like seeds!? There is a second pod which isn't open to the left in the picture.

I don't really know what it is but I'm excited about it. My other aglaonema hasn't grown at all in 2 years!

Anyone tuning in at all on the off weekend for F1? It's nice to see some familiar faces in the teams.

I bought a set of three carbon steel pans, and they are amazing. Is this allowed here? They are 99% iron I think.

They are lighter than a full iron pan but you still season them in the same way.

I have had an iron pan dedicated to meat cooking for a few years now, but I'm not sure it will get much use now.

These are new pans, so I'll have to see how they last, but I'm very optimistic.

I get that until recently it was considered normal and relatively cheap, but you are literally paying someone else to make food for you.

It can't be sustainable without exploitation of workers and/or animal welfare to have that available to the majority of people on a regular basis.

If you can only afford fast food as a luxury, to me that seems like a good thing.

As a non USA resident, I didn't know who this was. Before I read the post that was the name I had in my head.

Sorry for the poor quality / lack of screenshot, this is from my work computer which I isolate from my personal devices, so I just took a picture.

I was given a Montsera(?) cutting and I don't really know if this leaf is too wrinkled? It's a minefield trying to read about and understand if I have over or under watered. I just don't know what this plant actually wants.

My usual approach is to assume I have over watered if a plant looks unhappy, but I don't know if these bounce back after a period of under watering, if I hold back on watering more now.

Hiding posts? (lemmy.world)

I might have missed it somewhere, but is it possible to hide posts here. I like to hide popular posts once I am done seeing or engaging with them.

With the lower traffic here, I think this would especially help with finding new content.
