In Germany we have a word for it. Schadenfreude. translates to something like malicious joy. Basically the pleasure at someone else's misfortune.
Just recently bought/built a new pc. 4070ti i9-13900K and the first thing i did was setting max freamerate in all apps to max 60 end every game i start the first thing i do is setting everything to minimum. Playing mostly games like factorio or whatever. The only important thing for me is: never ever any dips below 60fps and almost room temp hardware if possible.
Don't you wanna get in touch with your inner self?

"Study Finds That No One Really Knows What They're Doing" can relate.
Interestingly I can't find a german word for this and usually we germans have an unspeakable long word for everything. weird.
I use an user agent switcher in those cases. Most of the time it works and I dont have to change the browser.
there are good games. but they most of the time do not get promoted. you need other websites or like reddit or lemmy with lists from actual players to find them. in store only the moneygrabs get promoted.
I wonder what face would ticks pull in this case where we already know there is no drawback for 100% annihilating them.
and if you get the funny "you need to be logged in to logout" message -> delete app data in your phones app settings. did the trick for me.
That's a technic I call learning by figuring out. I realized some time ago that information you figure out yourself lasts longer. When some at work for example asks me something I usually only return suggestive questions. Questions wich if they answer them lead them to the answer of their questions. I always get rolling eyes when I do but it helps in two ways. First is they really manifest the wisdom so they don't need to ask me a second time and second they learn relativly fast that they have to think what to ask me and how anoying it is so they ask less frequently but more specific. People hate it but it is benefical for both sides in my opinion.
