Spotted the inclusion of Auto Blocker in the last system update.
The App can be disabled, or as I did, adb uninstalled.

I've kinda been doing this for a while now, with the help of the floating overlays App, although the availability of supported floating Apps is limited at the moment.

There's some good point's here, even the articles author seems to have doubt's as to the validity of such devices where updates are concerned.
Putting all those aside for a moment, to me the silver lining is the ability to easily swap out a failing battery or charging port, especially if your a ham-fisted user who regularly rams the connection in. I've had no end of these fail over the years and more often than not, simply disposed of the device.
The other thing I miss from back in the day was the ability to disconnect the battery when a device gets frozen, it's not resolving the underling issue but a great way to get things up and running again.
Really not sure about this, specifically the two finger gesture bit.
Because of my physical difficulties, I use a Stylus, which is fine at the moment.
Trying to keep hold of the Stylus, whilst fumbling for the two finger swipe screen gesture, really isn't going to work well for me.
When the time comes, I'll probably need to look for a third party Notification Shade / Quick Settings / Gestures App, that gets around this.
Yet another case of aesthetics over practicality Google 👎
I used to tow in the UK with a Chrysler Voyager ( American Made, 7 x Seater SUV ) it did pretty well.
Fully ladden, all seats occupied + a dog, 2 x Roof Boxes and towing my massive Trailer Tent.
Even came back from one holiday on Three cylinders cus of a HT Lead fault and yes we went up some pretty steep hills, just needed to get a bit of a run at them that's all, lol.
Great Fun 😊
I used to use Bitwarden and it's a great App but you need to export your saved password list frequently somewhere safe just in case.
I now use Safe In Cloud, the backup can be restored from their servers.
Afaik, the backups encrypted and Safe In Cloud have no access anyway, check out the Playstore reviews for more details.

Total Launcher for me, the learning curves a bit steep but once mastered it's like a cross between Nova and KLWP combined.

You can emulate the old Windows phone look with Square Launcher.

I'm seeing a few recommendations to flash a custom ROM.
Wouldn't that be just great, there's only one slight problem with that idea ....
You mentioned it's a Samsung device.
Depending on which Samsung device you have, custom ROMS are hard or in some cases impossible to find and the process to install them is more difficult than on some other devices.
Get the process wrong and you'll brick your phone, so think long and hard before you go down that road.
Just thought I'd give you a heads up.
I vaguely remember reading somewhere Infinity struck a deal with Reddit whereby Infinity will move to a subscription model some time in July. The downside is a new version of Infinity will be released and all previous versions will no longer work.
Just wondering if Reddit are getting a cut of the sub and that's how Infinity managed to stay in the game.
I too noticed the accent colour change to Blue, which at first included the updates box background. Strangely the updates box background then went back to Green.
I quite liked the Blue updates box background so decided to quiz Google on this and contacted Playstores support team.
Honestly, I might as well have been speaking to a bot, maybe I was 🤔
I got a scripted answer back from Jenny, part of who's advise was to reinstall my OS, WTF.
Undeterred, I thanked her for the predictably, scripted advice and informed her I wasn't about to go wiping my phone when there wasn't an issue with it, this was a server side change.
The reply I got was a joke, exactly the same, scripted response, only this time I was assured the reply wasn't scripted but the actual fix, oh wow .....
By now it was obvious Jenny hadn't got a clue what I was referring to and was just attempting to knock my enquiry out of the park.
Right I thought, this time I'm gonna give it everything. Armed with marked up screenshots of before and after, my device manufacturer, os, Android version, etc, the whole nine yards I responded, suggesting poor Jenny escalate my enquiry to Playstores specialist team, who may be better placed to answer my questions.
Guess what I got back, nope not yet another scripted response.
This time I got a " Thank you for using Google Support " ticket closed, Email and no mention of a " How did we do " survey to follow.
So the moral of the story is my enquiry got bined because Jenny either didn't understand, was playing at Google God because she wants to make it up the ladder, or just couldn't be bothered, idk.
Anyway, I thought you guys might enjoy reading this.
What a waste of time and money !
