I really enjoy Debian. I have no need for bleeding edge software releases, what I need is stability. I even run Firefox ESR ๐Ÿ˜€ It's quite hard to brick a Debian stable installation (if not doing any extraordinary that is).

Oh yes. The actual craft of writing something down with a pencil does wonders for me to actually remembering stuff.

I think you are on the wrong Lemmy instance. I (we) are not interrested in reading about Putins version of the truth here. I think Lemmygrad has users that shares your worldview.

"...wasting massive amounts of ad money."

I don't see this as a problem.

Yes, in Sweden we are secular and have freedom of religion. However, my personal preference would be freedom FROM religion. And I mean all religions.

Setting up an own instance of Lemmy got super easy using Lemmy-Easy-Deploy

Debian

As a Linux user since 1996 or thereabouts I've tried most distributions. I've been a hardcore Gentoo ricer and "I'm using Arch btw..". But these days stability is my main requirement and Debian fills that need perfect.

I'm upvoting your post because the headline/title gave me an aneurysm. I've read it twice now and still don't understand it. ๐Ÿ˜€

Two weeks in on Lemmy and I've even set up my own instance. It feels like old Reddit and I'm loving it!

If we are talking about desktops and servers then yes and yes.

However SystemD in an embedded system with tight process serialization needs, it's hell on earth.
