the post title makes it sound like china is making that demand, which doesn't make sense.

anyway, it's article 19 that's calling on xitter to end the shadow ban.

okay, i'm gay, but this is still relevant.

my dad (who i haven't come out to yet) thinks colourful underwear is gay, and those are his remarks to seeing that i've packed both red and blue undies while we were on vacation last year.

like bro they're just colours.

if i may be pedantic for a sec, a lot of people mistake punishment for "negative reinforcement".

"reinforcement" means encouraging and reinforcing desired behaviour. "positive reinforcement" is providing positive stimulus as a reward for good behaviour, like giving a dog a treat for obeying commands. "negative reinforcement" is removing negative stimulus as a reward, like stopping the obnoxious low-health beeping when you heal a pokemon from critical health.

"punishment" is for discouraging undesirable behaviour. "positive punishment" is adding negative stimulus, such as physical abuse; and "negative punishment" is taking something away, like taking away an unruly teen's phone.

the 24 fps thing is one hella myth. our cones and rods send a continuous stream of information, which is blended with past-received information in our perception to remove stuff like the movement from darting your eyes around.

iOS is probably the worst choice if you want to sideload apps. I would recommend sticking with Android and run your Samsung into the ground (maybe flash a custom ROM?) before getting something like a Fairphone.

Besides, what do you want to be "passionate" about in mobile phones? To me, they're just tools for browsing the web, playing games, and staying in contact with friends and family while on the go; anything extra is superficial.

to be fair, though, 1 and 0 are just binary representations of values, same as decimal and hexadecimal. within your example, we'd absolutely find the entire works of shakespeare encoded in ascii, unicode, and lcd pixel format with each letter arranged in 3x5 grids.

what scam? the customer wanted them to work on their computer, so they did, and charged the customer accordingly.

It's a cool idea, but then you lose the local representation of the daylight cycle, which just complicates things again as you try to schedule things with people in other countries without knowing if it's their bedtime or not.

I play games with international friends and work with international colleagues, so I have my fair share of troubles with time zones. If anything, abolishing daylight savings worldwide would yield much better results.

On a side note, when scheduling events on Discord, I like to add in a unix timestamp that shows everybody their local time. Quite convenient!

My guy, I'm supportive of your idea and search for a keyboard with those extra keys. It's just... you've been and are still being super defensive about it, and definitely blowing it way out of proportion.

Yes, I agree, you shouldn't have to learn to touch type perfectly to get into split keyboards. No, the people telling you to chill out a bit aren't the same people that are telling you to learn how to touch type.

You're being critical of a community that is mostly supportive, just because of a minority of elitists.

As you can see, a lot of us disagree with your actions so far, yet we're still being nice about it. Again, the people telling you to chillax are still supportive of your search for your split keyboard.

Stop replying to every comment that even so slightly misaligns with your own opinion of the community. Stop painting proper feedback as villainous enablers of the elitist few.

Just chillax, take what you want from the comments, thank the supportive ones, and move on.

The portmanteau is correct, but "malding" means that the person is balding from sheer anger.

On LCD displays dark mode actually uses more electricity; the brightness is always there, and you need to power the liquid-crystal layer to block that light to result in darker colours.

This whole myth about darker screens saving energy goes way back to the old CRT days when it actually did save some energy.

Yall remember Blackle?
