I was browsing all on reddit, found a post from the adhd sub and I had to go to the bathroom to cry :D
Autocorrect/fuzzy search have been available on mobile phones and search engines since what, 10 years? 20?
Looks really nice! Thought it was a terraria clone at first, will check out the reviews
Edit: bought it since it's 75% off, played around 2 hours, it's pretty entertaining, I'm not a super fan of this kind of turn based combat in general, but we'll see
You can install it and start it only if needed, there's no need to fiddle with your current DE
Unless you play only multiplayer with anticheat it's going to be great. Sign up on protondb, it will give you a report of your steam games compatibility
Saw them and Exodus this summer and it was amazing. I was worried for Kreator because the first song was so so, but they simply need a warm-up, the rest of the concert was amazing! Exodus kicked ass and it was the first time I did crowd surfing, also a great mosh pit all around.
In my opinion, for your situation, AI is not going to help if you don't know enough programming ALREADY, what is probably going to happen is that you're going to achieve a certain progress and then get stuck.
I suggest you take a look at no code/low code solutions since your game does sound not too hard to make.
Take a look at rpg maker and construct 3
You'll be able to use AI for the scripting you'll need.
I had a friend use rpg maker with success in the first years of high school, before "the internet" was available, and he knew nothing about programming (he's now a doctor)
There's a shitload of nice indie horror games right now. I follow alpha beta gamer on YouTube to find new stuff. What kind of horror games would you like? Point and click, fps, action, etc. I recently bought Beyond Hanwell, Abscission, Mouthwashing, Fears to Fathom...
I think most selfhosters already know/use Linux, so management issues are already known. About the ease of use, if you manage services with docker it's really easy to bring them up/down, and if you want some GUI there's portainer.
Also you have to repeat some parts right after telling them, so technically they're hearing it 4 times ;D
If I had to guess, there are various fingerprinting techniques, and some of them use things like drawing on canvases to track you. They are probably referring to that.
