Excited for that jump. How do I buy tickets?

"As such, we’ve decided to waive our right to arbitration and have the matter proceed in court.”

Notice they still claim arbitration is their right, that the streaming agreement is still valid, but would rather appease the masses to mitigate bad publicity.

As a longtime Fitbit user, the writing is on the wall. The Google buyout has been horrible, features disappearing, support sucking, no more web dashboard, payment issues, calorie goals no longer customizable, etc.

They bought the company for user data and patents. Merge what they want into their watches and discontinue the rest. Absolutely minimize maintenance costs by dropping features and firing employees. They'll keep the Fitbit name, maybe roll that into a watch sub-series, but the buyout was definitely a gut-and-dump deal.

Too bad the antitrust suit won't save what used to be a great product and company in time.

Great! About time!

Clear them straight into the countless vacancies that keep rents high.

Oh? You just mean spend resources pushing the unfortunate around until they are unseen? Nevermind.

Ahh remindes me of a quote.

Mr. Prosser: Do you know how much damage this bulldozer would sustain if I just let it roll over you?

Arthur Dent: How much?

Mr. Prosser: None at all.

As I've heard someone say last year: "I wish Reddit a happy Digg.com"

I set up a 4-day trip years ago and my SO requested the time off. Denied. Changed the reservation, paid a fee and again denied. In fact, every weekend in June through August was denied due to "seniority" and other employees taking their vacations.

I changed the reservation again (and paid another fee) and told my SO the dates they'll be sick.

We called early in the morning on the way to a great trip. It felt great. FAFO

That snippit is out of context. The DMV claims they don't meet FMVSS because they don't.

... the DMV claims they don't meet Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). And while it's true Kei vehicles don't meet those safety standards, they shouldn't have to. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), imported vehicles at least 25 years old are exempt from FMVSS.

They are exploiting a loophole for personal antique vehicles to import or resell a fleet that doesn't meet safety standards. It can become an issue and absolutely within scope of the DMV to keep an eye on.

It took 14 paragraphs to get to the F-ing point. Jeez The Guardian is sensationalist dribble.

I'll save you the emotional buildup to radicalize their demographic and cut straight to it:

The charges filed by the union allege that Brown unilaterally changed protest policies without bargaining, and made threats of retaliation toward union members for participating in pro-Palestine campus protests.

“It’s really about the university trying to leverage this fact that, as graduate workers, we do have student status, and kind of using that as a workaround for violating labor law.

I wish I could earn in a year what he lost in a day. It would solve so, so many hardships I face in life.

F him for grifting so damn much

So if every photo of a Galaxy S24 is a fake AI composition, does that mean nothing could be copyrightable or used as evidence?

Those will be fun days in court!

I did the math and it would take me roughly 90 years to pay off a 2 bedroom fixer-upper.

Surprise twist, said fixer-upper is the place I rent currently.

Double surprise twist, I pay more in rent then the mortgage for this place, but don't qualify to buy my own.

I'm stuck in the renters purgatory.

There are more twists still, but those are too personal.

First of all, thanks mods for your work. I know spam sucks and ain't easy.

I'm new to this lemmy thing, but there seem to be a few bots out there that may be able to help or ban spammers.

Could we maybe look into that and automatically suspend/ban posts that link to amazon? That would seen to put an obstical in this kickback scam going on.

Just an idea.
