Ya I don't even get HDMI audio through my gpu interface on it idk. Let me know if debian helps though!

Yup... Been waiting 2 years for a gp now and after getting 2 referrals for a checkup on my tinnitus neither have ever called to book the appointment. Healthcare fucking sucks here

Was getting it on my system and this is what fixed it for me https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/firefox#KDE_integration

Ya fast boot is not on unfortunately, so not that

[-] Cthulhus_Cuck@lemmy.world 2 points 5 months ago

Pretty sure my fast boot is off but I'll double check, also not dual booted. Have already tried alsamixer and everything was unmuted and test tones still do not play. I assuming I'm SOL because it does seem to be an Asus issue but will double tap on the uefi fast boot, thanks

Hi,

I am setting up archlinux on a zenbook pro duo UX582L, everything has been setup and is functional, minus audio.

I am running plasma 6, the latest kernel, and have tried about everything I can find online to get this working.

things I've tried:

Pulseaudio

Pipewire

https://www.reddit.com/r/ASUS/comments/o1k04p/ubuntu_linux_on_ux582_zenbook_duo/

everything relevant at https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/PulseAudio/Troubleshooting

https://www.linux.org/threads/no-sound-on-asus-zenbook-oled-ux3402za.45822/

https://github.com/thor2002ro/asus_zenbook_ux3402za

The speakers are un-muted. They show properly in the volume mixer both in plasma GUI and alsamixer UI, when adjusting audio through the plasma GUI it shows the test tone is being played through the speakers but nothing is played.

any help is appreciated. Thanks-

Same as you, but I only like being in when it's quiet lol, so now that mandatory 3 day RTO is a thing for my company am in the office less than before :)

Jagex launcher is super nice because you don't need to enter your password every time, it's just the mobile login button which is super nice. But ya I, feel you, I have a few Linux machines I just tinker around on and have runelite on and it would be nice if they were to open source the jagex launcher so I don't have to type my damn password every time I afk timeout :)

Mac has a lot more proprietary libraries not available on Linux, which is why you'll see a lot of software supported on Mac but not Linux. My understanding of it at least, so just a lot more work to get it going on Linux universally.

Of course it was red deer XD, I grew up in that shit hole and honestly this isn't even that surprising for the crackpot stuff that went on there. I'm surprised she got punished.
