Hey ! Sorry I didn't saw your message. I came here to explain how I solved it (just now)!

I discovered a lot of nice option in gluetun (like port forwarding)

But turns out the solution was to change the network interface in qBittorrent options from eth0 to tun0... Simple as that

Thanks for your help!

My computer crashed recently, and I had to reinstall everything. Since then, I could not have anything above 720p anywhere besides playing directly on the computer that runs plex.

It looks like the maximum rate is 2 Mbps regardless of the original format.

I my install is pretty much the same as before.

I run plex as a docker container on Kubuntu.

CPU : I5-4590

GPU : GeForce 1030

I installed the Nvidia toolbox for docker as well, and everything should be good

I tried activating, deactivating HW transcoding, playing with the transcoding speed option, disabled the iGPU to use only the 1030, but nothing seems to make any difference.

I first thought it was a certain format, but it seems to affect everything. I tried to optimize a file by encoding it with the plex option, but the issue stays.

I thought about a network limitation, but nothing is supposed to have changed.

I'm kind of clueless now on what to do next

Any idea on where to look?

Edit2:

Solved!

I unchecked the "use relay" option, and that fixed it.

I still have issues with certain clients, but that's another problem.

I found it odd that everything defaulted to relay when it could have direct play with certain clients.

Thank you for the help!

I have trouble understanding how to set a fix shutter speed with my camera.

Once I chose a SP, my camera take the picture with the right one then if I take another one shortly after it tries to adapt the shutter speed to have more or less exposure.

Is there a way to remove this option?

For info, I tried in S and M mode, with manual ISO, manual focus, manual WB, and I made sure that the "multiple exposure" option was off in the setting menu.

Rawtherapy is really good The workflow is pretty straitforward and there's a lot of tutorials. It's really professional although it's not as easy as Lightroom.

Darktable is another good alternative but I prefer Rawtherapy

This is not a matter of different point of view but a moderation one, since they are outnumbered for now with flow of new people and bad actors.

I don't think they did it happily

But we're not concerned since this instance is smaller and probably not as much targeted

Thank you

I know the option but the network interface of the vpn is not accessible by the container.

I'm trying to have this interface listed in the setting you mentioned

I'm trying to link a docker container qFlood to my VPN (proton) on the host to prevent IP leaks.

When everything is on the host, I can just choose "proton0" in the network interface to use, but I don't know how to do that inside the container because this interface is not exposed to the container.

Is there a way to do that?

Or even to implement the VPN inside a container?

What the alternative to prevent IP leaks with qBit on docker?

edit:

I used gluetun + qFlood as advised and it worked like a charmed except that I could't seed or leach at all

Turns out the solution was to change the network interface in qBittorrent options from eth0 to tun0… Simple as that

Thank you all for the help!

I use Proton and it pretty fast IMO even without port fowarding since I can't use it.

And it has special option that prevent tracking in the event of a warrant to get your IP and also a system to avoid streaming service blocking VPNs' addresses

My second point, if you're on Linux, don't expect all the options proposed. The Linux app is pretty bad for now. No port fowarding, no split tunneling. Just kill switch

They supposed to remake it eventually... but it's been a while

So I recommend it if your on windows or Mac.

With Linux it's usable but for the price, It's not good

That being said, you can apparently use openvpn app to use it with more options, but I hadn't have the time to try it yet.

The cli Proton is supposed to have more options but I couldn't make it work even by following the doc. I might be the problem on this one.

Edit: typo

Thanks, that makes sense. It grew pretty fast in a few days.

Ok I'm seeing it now. It's empty but I assume it takes time to load. Thanks!

Any Idea on why I couldn't do it myself?

That's my understanding, but I'm trying since yesterday and still no results. From Jerboa I succeeded in finding one community, but since then, it looks like I cannot even though I'm on browser right now. edit: is it possible API are overwhelmed by the number of recent requests?

[-] Biorix@lemmy.fmhy.ml 12 points 1 year ago

I'm not sure if I'm doing it correctly, but when I search for other community on other instances, it doesn't show up in the results. I tried the complete URL, the "!", the "!" plus @instance, the name alone. Is there something special to do? Is any user can look for community?

Same for me I really like KDE and their tools

I recently try to go with fedora KDE but Ubuntu and Red Hat is the only distro supported by Nvidia dockers toolbox

They have investors because they are not profitable, they still need to make money. YouTube is worth a lot of money but it's still not profitable.

They probably thought that could be their profitable business model.

Its not crazy to charge for an API above an amount of request. What's insane is the amount they choose to charge.
