Ordered a second hand computer component instead of purchasing a new one.
Just a shitload of composting.
Soon I'll be sowing Ukrainian sunflowers in vacant lots with former construction to remove heavy metals from the soil.
I've been pulling ewaste from a bin I have access to to fix up and give away. Laptops go to a charity for resettling refugees. I'm working with a guy from the recycling center who gets me used replacement chargers and occasional other components for free. (Everything else comes secondhand from eBay.) He's working on the recycling center's policies - for the moment their rules say all computers dropped off there have to be securely destroyed. If he catches people when they bring them in, he's allowed to suggest the donation, and he's gotten a ton of machines for us to fix and pass along that way.
I'm currently fixing up a trash day rocking chair, and trying to source some secondhand lumber so I can finish up a park bench I plan to put beside a local bike path.
That's not directly environmental stuff, but it's keeping computers out of the landfill and putting them to use locally, and reducing the need for new machines.
Edit: also were helping my neighbor replace his lawn with no-mow plants
Volunteering at a non-profit thrift store! 'Get to be around like-minded coworkers, make customers really happy with cool finds, save a bunch of stuff from the landfill, help send money to a needy charity, and... AND, get first dibs on great stuff for myself.
After countless years of wanting it we finally were able to put a down payment on a home solar/battery setup.
Burned less wood (I think - unless things change and the month is not over). Previously, I have never been able to finish the wood-burning season in March, but with a better equipped solar power system, this now seems to have happened.
