PHP vs. Banana (files.mastodon.social)

orig txt:
PHP is still better than any JS 👇😂 credit https://turnoff.us/ #php #programming #development

Image description: This comic hilariously compares PHP and bananas:

  1. Can you eat it? Yes to the banana, no to PHP (unless you're really determined).
  2. Can it prevent cramps? Banana wins again! Not sure about PHP...
  3. Is it a great programming language? Well, that depends on who you ask...

TL;DR: Banana Triumphs!

“hilariously” is probably the wrong word to describe this comic.

Best back-end language for writing shit that just works, with no additional set-up or packages required == ~~banana~~ PHP!

For real, PHP gets a lot of shit, but it’s pretty good I think. It’s got classes, allows for importable modules, there’s a decent package manager, testing frameworks. I think maybe the only thing missing that other languages have is async/await.

But meme says it sucks. So therefore it must be true?
