It’s like a Rorschach test.

Aren't all Rorschach tests just pictures of balls???

[-] Evil_Shrubbery@lemm.ee 7 points 2 years ago

It's balls but with with nipples that lactate.

Story is that the director kept telling the model designer to make the ship more feminine. Model designer got feed up and made the ship a set of ovaries with breasts.

They are very clearly titty-balls.

Nothing says quality scifi quite like George Peppard wearing chaps.

Haha man I used to love this as a kid. Don't think I'll risk ever watching it again though.

I rematched almost all my childhood films without any hesitation, but rewatching Hook gave me a real bad aftertaste somehow... I think William's character was just so much more unbelievable (his down to earth-fatgher char) that it spoiled the story a bit. How much is a redemption arc worth if the starting point is not believeable..? I still rewatch all my movies but it's more exciting now. For Hook, I just listen to the soundtrack :-)

After the success of Star Wars, Roger Corman desperately wanted to have a space opera of his own in the theatres..

[-] Reverendender@sh.itjust.works 4 points 2 years ago

He should have tried making it good. At least one time.

On Tubi currently. I remember seeing this in the theater, what a disappointment

One of the few Roger Corman movies that used original music. Which then got copied everywhere.

James Horner no less - Braveheart, Aliens, Glory, Field of Dreams, dude's scored some amazing films

[-] HubertManne@kbin.social 2 points 2 years ago

I vaguely remember this.

Ah I see this is the one where Doug Henning had his little-known cameo.
