So...trying to accommodate to gf's demands, here's a curve ball...which audio headset/earphones would you recommend that, while keeping good audio, sells also in PINK COLOR? Your average Sony XM, Sennheiser Momentum, Airpods etc...they all lack pink. Suggestions?

Thanks, and sorry for the slow response! I'm thinking as something to wear during the commute, so I guess these wouldn't cut it with the mic in there. My bad for not mentioning it in the post, didn't consider the existence of gaming headsets!

Think you responded to the wrong comment.

Thanks...I though you were the same poster of the original Swedish link

+1 for the Pro X. Great sound, decent mic, super comfortable!

Then look at some IEMs, with a Fiio BTR5, there are plenty of good chinese IEMs in different colors, ok she will have to deal with a cable, but only to the BTR5.

Maybe a good pair of headphones and the careful application of some spray paint? Mask and holes or areas you don't want to colour, then apply several light coats until suitable pinkness is achieved. I suspect you'll get bonus points for personalisation.

Sorry, not good advice:

plastics and paints are usually incompatible-chemistries.

ABS can be painted, but you MUST be careful about which solvents are in the paint, e.g.

There is no point in trying to paint polypropylene, e.g.

[-] notabot@lemm.ee 8 points 8 months ago

I haven't had any issues painting most plastics with the general hobby type spray paints. I know there are some that'll fail or damage the surface, but I've had good results with Plastikote (other brands are available, etc).

I should probably have been more specific about using spray paints for plastics rather than general ones.

Soundcore Life Q35

These aren't aggressively pink but they're really nice.

[-] Floppybutton@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago

I've got a (black) pair and really like them. I'm not sure what the comment below is talking about but I haven't installed any Anker apps and they work just fine for plug and play use.

I can't imagine someone whose deal breaking criteria is the color would care about audiophile-level controls on a pair of BT headphones.

[-] Paragone@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

Have you see the permissions-rape of the Anker Soundcore app??

_ /\ _

[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 8 months ago

Thanks for the heads-up about the app. I'm a GrapheneOS user, and so permissions are important, but on a headset....well, I basically don't bother installing the app, to begin with. I have another profile for bullshit apps, where my Sony headset app resides, and basically that's only to upgrade the firmware...which lately has been to add assistant functions only, and so I haven't even bothered. SO...yeah, thanks, but I wasn't probably going to install the app in the first place :)

I'm sure beats have a pink headphone... They are of the highest quality. /s!!!!!!!!

Tho.... Is she an audiophile? Probably not if she's Bluetoothing. Beats might be an option. As shitty as that option might be.

Edit: Apparently they have gotten better... https://www.reddit.com/r/headphones/comments/uofqp4/whats_so_bad_about_beats_headphones/

If you have access to a 3D printer you can build the Headamame. You can make it the exact assortment of pinks your girlfriend likes.

[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 8 months ago

Thanks a lot! That's...and idea I would have never considered. Sadly, I don't have any 3D printer available around :(

[-] lemonuri@lemmy.ml 1 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

They look great! Is there a already an Autoeq profile that headset?

[-] BastingChemina@slrpnk.net 1 points 8 months ago

I have no idea, I don't have them but I'm thinking about building them when I have the time.

[-] jasep@lemmy.world 7 points 8 months ago

Maybe a DBrand skin for Airpods?

[-] raef@lemmy.world 6 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

I had a bad experience with the Bluetooth on Sennheiser and got so frustrated I broke them into little pieces and threw them away. I've since bought two pairs of Bang & Olufsen and have been happy. It seems they have a sort of light pink on at least one of the models

[-] Metju@lemmy.world 5 points 8 months ago

Seconding this. B&O know their stuff when it comes to sound (though I'd avoid TWS due to having bad experience with them myself); currently rocking HX, seem to work fine

[-] raef@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

That's what I upgraded to a year or two ago. Handles switching input sources no problem; something the Sennheisers couldn't do

[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 8 months ago

Bang & Olufsen

Just checked the price of these, my wallet started screaming on the other room. Holy cow, these are some beautifully pricey headphones!

[-] Kecessa@sh.itjust.works 4 points 8 months ago

Google > make list of options by known companies > ask what's best between those models regardless of the color

We're not going to look at all the good products of every good brands for you to see which ones offer a pink version, do your part.

[-] bluejuh@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago
[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 8 months ago

Nice ones! These look very affordable, might consider them as the pocket everyday ones :)

[-] Dagnet@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago* (last edited 8 months ago)

Maybe something from V-moda, not entirely pink but should have pink shields

[-] bionicjoey@lemmy.ca 3 points 8 months ago

They're more a status symbol than a quality headphone, but Beats and Bose definitely both come in pink.

[-] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 3 points 8 months ago

Shockz bone conducting headphones have a two tone pink version of their high end Openrun Pro and their lower end Openmove has a pink/white version.

It is nice to hear music but still hear your surroundings for safety.

[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 1 points 8 months ago

Thanks, but in this case noise-cancelling would be a need. They're needed for the daily commute and for airplane travel. So these would be a no-go.

[-] Mycatiskai@lemmy.ca 2 points 8 months ago

What is really interesting is that I can put comfortable earplugs in to cut outside sounds off and put the bone conduction earphones on and can still hear my music perfectly. I was in a 20 seater turboprop plane over the weekend and with the earplugs in and music going I could barely hear the engine.

[-] manualoverride@lemmy.world 3 points 8 months ago

There are companies who paint AirPods for you like this: https://as2.ae/airpods-pro-pink/

[-] Teal@lemm.ee 3 points 8 months ago

Here’s a list from a Best Buy search. Even if you prefer to shop elsewhere it gives a list of several pink headphones and earbuds.

Pink headphones

If she does any gaming Astro (owned by Logitech) used to have pink versions of some headsets.

[-] TheEntity@kbin.social 2 points 8 months ago

If these are hard requirements for her hardware and she's not willing to search herself with such ridiculous constraints, I'd suggest replacing gf.

If you can't take an obvious joke, I'd rather stay here and you can take reddit, thank you.

[-] Toes@ani.social 2 points 8 months ago

Razer has some like that.

SoundCore Q30 with Oluv’s EQ is probably the best you can get if you care at all about sound neutrality. You want the Q30 specifically, all the other models can’t be saved even with EQ.

[-] iturnedintoanewt@lemm.ee 2 points 8 months ago

SoundCore Q30

Yup, it's the first time I heard of these, but in this thread it's come up several times. I'll definitely be checking these.

[-] lstwndr 2 points 8 months ago

This review and this comparison might help. It's a real shame the newer models ended up being worse soundwise. While the Q30 can't compete with my Sennheiser HD 6XX, it still delivers a solid neutral sound after some equalization―and has become my preferred headphone just because of its ANC feature. It's also very comfy, and you can get two days of continued use before it needs recharging. The only downside I can think of is its tendency to fall off your head if you're running or working out.

[-] pricklypearbear@lemmy.world 2 points 8 months ago

Heard that galaxy buds are pretty balance when it comes to sound. They also have a pink color....I think.
