Yeah, those dudes are gonna fuck.

Barely concealed homoerotic tension is one of my favorite old timey advertising tropes.

Are you familiar with old Soviet-Chinese propaganda posters?

1950’s. It’s literally right there in the bottom right. 50’s. Not 40s.

I appreciate the catch. I go through a lot of ads from that time period and it's sometimes hard to keep track.

lol I'm glad I'm not the only one that got big homo-erotic vibes from that ad. Even the women seem to only have eyes for one another.

That is one handsome dude.

In that old-timey radio voice

"Now fellas, we all know that one handsome devil neighbour of ours that we wish we could hold tight on a cold night instead of our nagging wives. Well, that's where Schlitz beer comes in! Schlitz beer - lower your hunky neighbours' inhibitions against your homoerotic advances!"

Buddy's just got a dozen glass beer bottles loose in a paper bag.

I wasn’t sure if they still make Schlitz, but it looks like they do, now from Pabst Blue Ribbon

The previous company turbo fucked the recipe in the 70s. Its why it went from the #1 beer in the US to completly forgotten.

Looks like Pabst is claiming they brought back the 60's recipe. I dont think i believe them, honestly.

They forgot step two, bring back the original recipe as Schlitz Classic?
