How can we help with localization?

[-] a1studmuffin@aussie.zone 1 points 2 years ago

I'm actually curious to see how well GPT-4 could handle translations. Particularly because each translatable string has an identifier key in camel case English which gives clues about the context of the line to the translator, so I suspect it would do quite well compared to a naive "Google Translate all the strings" approach.

I'm looking forward to using the app! It's a bit too alpha for me to consistently use atm but I'll keep checking in. Thanks for making such an awesome project!

On my iOS device in Mlem. Can’t find any way to save. Commenting to access on my Android device later lol

[-] dessalines@lemmy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

You can just click save comment, it'll show up in jerboa.

I wasn't finding the option to save within Mlem lol. Regardless, I'm back on the Android device and updated to the github release

Is there any way to change instance on Jerboa?

[-] YouNaughtyMonsters@beehaw.org 3 points 2 years ago

Hamburger in the upper left > click the username drop-down (night say anonymous if you're not signed in) > Add Account

Just did that to add Beehaw.

Hi, for some reason after I log in Jerboa seems to forget who I am and asks me to login again.

[-] blindbunny@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

I can't seem to login with Jerboa but I can with Firefox. Any help would be appreciated.

This update seems a lot more stable for me. Loving it so far.

I still haven't figured out how to log in...

edit: thanks, figured it out.

I have also been looking for a while. You have to open the sandwich menu in the upper left corner. Then there is a dropdown at the top and when you open that, you can click on "Add account".

Jerboa is a native-android client for Lemmy, built using the native android framework, Jetpack Compose.

Warning: You can submit issues, but between Lemmy and lemmy-ui, I probably won't have too much time to work on them. Learn jetpack compose like I did if you want to help make this app better.
