Trees (beehaw.org)
submitted 1 year ago by Treevan@beehaw.org to c/trees@lemmy.ml

The sidebar states "This is a community for cannabis and all related products."

How about you take the community called "marijuanaenthusiasts" and leave the trees for people that actually like trees?

Do we need to bring the tired old reddit tropes over for every community? Looks like trees@sh.itjust.works can be the "funny" trees. Let's make this one the "real" trees?

Posted this comment before this community was created. Reddit was frustrating to use because of the same old tired jokes that were overused. They were funny to a point. Let's hope lemmy and kbin don't go the same way.

Am I wrong? Can this be an arboretum? Herbs can go somewhere else?

Why not have 2 parallel communities? Everyone seems to think it's a bad thing that communities that share the same name can exist on different instances. But I kinda think it's one of Lemmys advantages. Everyone can make a community as long as your instance allows you to. Which most seem to allow you too. Though I see you're from Beehaw which doesn't allow you too...

That's what I tried to say though?

There are 2 communities. There can be this one and the one on the instance with the funny name: !trees@sh.itjust.works

I don't think we need multiple cannabis communities with the same name. Just a personal thought.

Realize this is an older post, but does anyone know the name of the Lemmy community that is actually about trees? I'm a tree propagator and would like to find my people.
