This may bring back some of the fractured fanbase from the controversy around the live action show deviating from the books. Doug has commented on how he understood Henry Caville’s exit from the show and this should be a sign to fans that an essential cast member is on the inside, pushing to keep the story untainted by trends and editorials.
It's far too little, far too late. Short of completely scrapping the live action series starting with Season 2 and restarting while retconning what they already fucked up in Season 1, there's no way any fans that were put off will be back on board with netflix's adaptation.
I'm even wary about this one but cautiously optimistic as this short story in the books was pretty straight forward and ~~I can't immediately think of ways they'll mess it up, but they've screwed up smaller things before so we will see.~~
Nevermind they can definitely fuck up the part that's supposed to develop geralt and yen's relationship.
