This is one of those posts I want to downvote just because I'm angry I saw it.

[-] LillianVS@lemmy.world 10 points 2 years ago

I wouldn't judge you for doing so

[-] GillBates@feddit.de 17 points 2 years ago

This is good because you can pee on the floor and you don’t have to clean it up right???

[-] iraldir@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago

Wrong community, there is nothing mild about this

[-] LittleKerr@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Mild, mold... just one letter, a tiny typo.

[-] paorzz@lemmy.world 14 points 2 years ago* (last edited 2 years ago)

(^~^) It's not real. I refuse to believe it.

[-] Renakoan@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

AI generation is a nice mental exit if you need one pal

[-] imbrokenowboi@lemmy.world 12 points 2 years ago

At least you can't tell the difference between carpet and shit.

[-] sgtcasey@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

I’d be more worried about pee.

[-] pleasemakesense@lemmy.world 11 points 2 years ago

What a terrible day to have eyes

[-] PCChipsM922U@sh.itjust.works 9 points 2 years ago

WTF is wrong with your folks 😂.

[-] lhx@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Ugggh.... the amount of mold eating the urine and poop particles is disgusting.

[-] Squibbles@lemmy.world 7 points 2 years ago

Haha we just rented a house last weekend that had carpet that not only went up the side of the tub but had about 6 inches of carpet on the top edge too. Deep pile stuff too, not as low as in OP's picture. Quite a sight to see in person

[-] LillianVS@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

That makes my skin crawl

[-] constantokra@lemmy.one 3 points 2 years ago

Wouldn't set foot in that den of horrors.

[-] zarquon@sh.itjust.works 6 points 2 years ago

That linked reddit thread is accusing the poster of being a karma bot. Does lemmy already have those?

[-] mobiuscoffee@sh.itjust.works 5 points 2 years ago

But there is no karma here?

[-] LillianVS@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Nope! We do not have karma bots. Karma is about as valuable as the zimbabwe dollar here

[-] Moonrise2473@feddit.it 2 points 2 years ago

That's the main disadvantage of Lemmy. I am paying my rent converting the reddit karma to dollars... 😢

[-] Richard@lemmy.world 6 points 2 years ago

I’d be too scared to pee standing up…

[-] Jabroni@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

The carpet is brown for a reason.

[-] latca@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Mold spores live it though!

[-] LittleKerr@lemmy.world 5 points 2 years ago

Not infuriating, that's straight up disgusting. Why would anyone do that???

[-] SallyTAB@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I just audibly gasped. This seems like a sensory nightmare getting out of the shower, or during periods of high humidity.

[-] 777@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

What a terrible day to have the ability to imagine that in vivid detail. What a cursed image, well done OP.

[-] ArtemZ@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

I had no idea it's a thing. But now I hate it

[-] felicity@feddit.de 4 points 2 years ago

Is this in the UK? It is, isn’t it.

I thought carpet in the bathroom was normal as a kid, since that's what we had in our house.

Is such a funny mix of "must be so retro" and "that carpet still looks new

[-] theCOORN@lemmy.fmhy.ml 3 points 2 years ago

I wouldn't be surprised if there was carpet in the tub

[-] InevitableWaffles@midwest.social 3 points 2 years ago

😬 just..... gross.

[-] TEKUMS@lemmy.world 3 points 2 years ago

Omg, I can just imagine the gross sounds it would make when wet D:

[-] Moonrise2473@feddit.it 3 points 2 years ago

I would like to know how much mold can be find behind it after a decade

Omg this tub right here officer.

[-] Rhabuko@feddit.de 2 points 2 years ago

Oh man that's just awful 😆

[-] kalahlora@sh.itjust.works 2 points 2 years ago

I don't like this at all.

[-] BenDoubleU@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Not sure why carpet in the bathroom gets so much hate. Drying off is as easy as rolling around on the floor.

If they had the courage of their convictions they would've carpeted the inside of the tub too.

Had carpet like that in England many years ago. Twp primary school boys and a bunch of their friends in the house - things got squelchy real quick

"I want my day mildly ruined, not completely ruined." Well.. we didn't really live up to this one here.

[-] yenahmik@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago

Oh no! Everything about this feels so wrong

[-] glaber@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 years ago

This isn't just mildly infuriating, this is absolutely despicable
