It gets worse! The chariot's wheels are also made of dragonbone ichor in Vulcan's forge. Their every turn upon the black stone invokes a different terrible curse that afflicts the King's subjects and drains their life like a slow poison. So it was said in a distant court, but the speaker was ejected because "the post was too political."

A sorcerer has claimed to create a chariot that can guide itself through the labyrinth unaided by human hand, but there have been a number of deaths associated with this supposed self-driving chariot, and the common folk are beginning to suspect that this supposed sorcerer is nothing more than a common mountebank.
