Bloody Samsung think a base S24 for €900 is cheap. Not to mention the shitty Exynos it comes with in Europe.

I want the whole back to be filled with cameras. The front should have them as well.

I had a light camera. It was very good but it needed more cameras.

[-] RdVortex@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

What about side cameras? Might miss on some important shots without them.

[-] SuperSpecialNickname@lemmy.ml 4 points 10 months ago

Hell yeah, remove everything put more cameras!

[-] MargotRobbie@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

They should add an extra camera for the symmetry.

Agreed. As long as Samsung keep providing inferior hardware to the non US/Canada world, it will remain a no from me - “specs sheet suggested the two non-Ultra flagships will come with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 only in the US and Canada, all the other markets are getting the Exynos 2400 treatment.”

[-] ratman150@sh.itjust.works 11 points 10 months ago

Why on earth would you want the un-rootable variant we get stuck with in the states? Own your hardware damnit.

[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 10 months ago

Nobody seems to like developing for the exynos variant last I checked.

I agree with wanting to root your device but banking apps dislike when you root your device. So I'm conflicted if I would ever do.

Is there no way to import a snapdragon version?

[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 10 months ago

(Price + Shipping) × 19% VAT (for Germany) = Very expensive

[-] Cort@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago

Huh, I didn't realize shipping was taxed too. That really sucks

[-] Appoxo@lemmy.dbzer0.com 3 points 10 months ago

Better. The shipping is added to the total and the sum of both is taxed. So high value shipping (like heavy stuff) is even more expensive.

And on top comes 6€ if the tax wasnt paid beforehand (for example at checkout). Usually DHL should step in, pay it upfront and you need to pay DHL the VAT and 6€ ont top for an import handling fee.

[-] ByteMe@lemmy.world 1 points 3 months ago

[-] MaxVoltage@lemmy.world 5 points 10 months ago

Dont buy South Korean products lmao

Its just rebranded Chinese products of course they want their cut

Just buy straight from the source my old dealer slways said

[-] Fake4000@lemmy.world 18 points 10 months ago

Would you be able to elaborate more on rebranded Chinese part?

My understanding is that Samsung makes their own phones of all models.

[-] MaxVoltage@lemmy.world 2 points 10 months ago* (last edited 10 months ago)

yea i can make a car at home too if i order every piece i need from china. Thats how most things are just done now

[-] steal_your_face@lemmy.ml 11 points 10 months ago

Either a mid troll or a massive idiot

[-] keyez@lemmy.world 7 points 10 months ago

Taiwan isn't part of China but otherwise could potentially see where you're coming from

[-] EvokerKing@lemmy.world 3 points 10 months ago

Samsung makes most tech parts now. Even most of iPhones are manufactured by Samsung now.
