And kinda pointless in the end. Taking down a node in a decentralised network doesn't achieve much...

True, just means a few hundred thousand people have some troubles accessing their accounts, but people on other instances don't even realize.

One big reason why I'm pretty consistent that we all need to be decentralizing as much as humanly possible. Big shiny instances are all nice and all, but the more we rely on one service provider, the more damage can be done by hurting one service provider.
