Washington has Tillicum and Georgia has Cumming. This map was not well thought out

[-] ArtificialLink@lemmy.ca 11 points 1 year ago

I love Cumming, ^GA

[-] grue@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

North Dakota had better have absolutely nothing else even slightly risque, in order to have any hope of justifying its theft of GA's rightful entry.

[-] CADmonkey@lemmy.world 29 points 1 year ago

"Tulsa" is just "a slut" spelled backwards.

[-] AccmRazr@lemm.ee 12 points 1 year ago

Yeah but Oklahoma has a small town called Peggs

[-] spicytuna62@lemmy.world 10 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

We have plenty of funny town names here, but my favorites are Hooker, Slapout, Stringtown, and Hoot Owl.

[-] Ithi@lemmy.ca 8 points 1 year ago

"Peggs" is just "Sggep" spelled backwards.

[-] Sentinian@lemmy.one 23 points 1 year ago

Only Ohio would have pee pee township lmao

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Pee pee is my favorite township

[-] TheBlue22 23 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I refuse to believe there is a town in America called Rough&Ready

[-] Kolanaki@yiffit.net 21 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

I was literally there today 🤣

We also have a city in this state by the name of "City of Industry." Not simply "Industry" but "City of Industry." And "Carmel by the Sea" as opposed to just "Carmel" or "Carmel by the Dumpster Fire off 99."

it takes less than two hours to get from bonesteel to gayville.

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

That's what I like to hear

[-] MegaTony@lemmy.world 18 points 1 year ago
[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago

I'm guessing it's because the map already has Cummings.

[-] grue@lemmy.world 12 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

But Butts isn't even a town; it's a county.

This map is wack. It should be Cumming!

the states containing Dry Wood and Lubers are bordering each other, yet the wood remains dry

[-] MycelialMass@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Bigbone, KY is home to a nice state park called Big Bone Lick.

[-] MethodicalSpark@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

They have Bison. Went there a few weeks ago. Pretty cool park!

“Cozy corner” isn’t actually that bad of a town name

[-] bingbong@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 1 year ago

At night, it becomes wanker's corner

[-] soupyc@lemmy.world 13 points 1 year ago

Napo'opo'o isn't 'Na poo poo'

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

That makes perfect sense

[-] Sewer_King@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Goochland, Virginia is underrepresented here.

[-] OKULTRA 11 points 1 year ago

no horneytown NC?

[-] JaymesRS@literature.cafe 11 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

They choose Kiester over Gaylord, Moorhead (morehead), or Climax‽

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

Tbf Climax was already on the map. Moorhead is pretty good though

[-] Semi-Hemi-Demigod@kbin.social 11 points 1 year ago

The road from Blue Ball to Paradise runs through Intercourse.

[-] QuincyPeck@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

As it should.

[-] mercury 10 points 1 year ago

there are more lewd souding towns in Virginia than short pump

[-] mister_flibble@lemm.ee 9 points 1 year ago

Tbf it's technically just part of a town and not an actual town but there is Mianus CT

[-] signor@lemmy.world 9 points 1 year ago

Mary’s Igloo is too much for me.

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 3 points 1 year ago

Yeah it's a quality igloo

[-] DerArzt@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

I don't know man, I live in Iowa and we have balltown and cumming (not sure which is better)

[-] tamal3@lemmy.world 6 points 1 year ago

What is Humptulips...

[-] Goldmage263@sh.itjust.works 6 points 1 year ago

I mean, Dry Wood is good for Kansas, but Seaman also makes a strong showing as does Great Bend and Cawker City.

[-] BaronVonBort@lemmy.world 5 points 1 year ago

Glaze City, TX should be a contender as well.

[-] ObviouslyNotBanana@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

Shaftsbury is pretty good

[-] riodoro1@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

[-] Adori@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Oh god essex really has gone through a new meaning

[-] ZeroTHM@lemmy.world 4 points 1 year ago

Is no one gonna talk about Splunge?

[-] TimewornTraveler@lemm.ee 4 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

Oh, PA probably gets way weirder than Intercourse.

Also doesn't MI have Exit 69: Big Beaver Rd? Also there's Hell, MI. Those are both way better than Dick, MI.
