Hi guys! I was wondering how you all deal with Microsoft Teams at work. Is there some kind of alternate frontend app or everyine is just sticking to web app ?

I always assume I have zero privacy at work and/or on work computers. Are you trying to use it on your personal computer or something? If so I'd advise against that. Teams and Office 365 are notorious for their monitoring and reporting to managers.

Install Virtualbox with a virtual windows inside. Join and use THAT virtual Windows for work. Install work software only inside the VM. That will keep everything inside/outside of the vm compartmentalized. I use this approach on my Linux only PC. I rather do this than give unknown work software full access to my hard drive.

When using a different personal device isn’t a possibility, this is the way you do it.

I’ve been remote for a while, and I had an old computer just for work. Wiped everything, reinstalled Windows and that computer was just for work.

When I resumed on-site work, wiped everything again and installed Linux.

If I had one computer only, I would go with a virtual machine.

I'd just use a different PC from my usual, and treat it as a compromised device.

My work laptop is connected to a switch port with one VLAN, which is isolated from my private network.

Any app provided by work is as transparent as cling film. Your screen is likely being recorded too.

If you wish to talk to colleagues in private, take it elsewhere.
