The State Emblem Redesign Commission is set to reconvene next month to choose a new state flag and seal. The panel found six flag and five seal designs Tuesday that will move on.

I don't think they're all that bad—F29 and F1953 are pretty decent—though there were definitely way better options. The North Star Flag is an obvious example.

Edit: Meant F29, not F2100.
