Boomer memes fuck off

[-] MartinXYZ@kbin.social 39 points 1 year ago* (last edited 1 year ago)

This is so bad, it's got to be a MAGA meme

[-] Sibbo@sopuli.xyz 29 points 1 year ago

If any, this is making fun of MAGAs, which typically don't care about facts.

[-] BassaForte@lemmy.world 21 points 1 year ago

That's true, but the "Sue was offended" part reeks of boomer conservative insult.

[-] Sibbo@sopuli.xyz 5 points 1 year ago

I understand. This is weird, because the first part is like anti-MAGA and pro-facts. But the second part is anti-facts, and thus pro-MAGA. This is too much for my brain to handle.

You can appreciate humour even without knowing if it's a left or right meme

[-] Sibbo@sopuli.xyz 2 points 1 year ago

Well, I would laugh about racist jokes, at least not the hateful ones. There are e.g. some funny pasta jokes about Italy though.

Please tell

This is the most painful thing I've ever looked at

[-] afraid_of_zombies@lemmy.world 1 points 1 year ago

I once saw a kid after throwing up have a nose bleed and had to encourage her to blow out the bloody puke.

This is actually a really current and relevant meme, even if many other comments here say otherwise. It may have been relevant in the past as well, but that does not affect today.

The member states, that with lies and anger you get a lot of attention in modern politics, but not with calm rationality. However, calm rationality is what is needed to make good decisions. This is more of a critique of modern media, than of any political direction itself. Even though, there are of course some political parties that use lies more than others.

Amd I notice that this trend is much more advanced in the USA while it is coming to Europe too.

[-] FrankTheHealer@lemmy.world 17 points 1 year ago

This has 'back in my day' energy.

[-] SirStumps@lemmy.world 16 points 1 year ago

Seems pretty accurate for both sides.

Thankgiving dinners are my favorite

[-] PeWu@lemmy.ml 6 points 1 year ago

Okay. As I'm reading the comments, they mainly divide to:

  • Conservative/leftist meme
  • Boomer humor

Saying my opinion is useless, so I'll leave just that. Thanks for reading ๐Ÿ™‚
