Anything good?

I'm hoping to get some time to play Return of the Obra Dinn if I could get any significant amount of time blocked off to game.

Finishing the DLC for Ghost of Tsushima.

Return of the Obra Dinn is by far the game I wish I could erase my memory of and experience again for the first time!

Got Warhammer 40k: Boltgun, and although its fun ive got a lot of problems with the game. Its sad to see what 40k has become nowadays. In better knews, I usually play a lot of Battle Brothers and Vermintide 2. Oh, and sometimes my friends come over to play Baldurs Gate: Dark Alliance 2. If you're looking for a good couch co-op game and you have a PS, try out Dark Alliance 2.

I've been playing Warhammer on the Return of Reckoning server. It holds up pretty well for an older game, and the pvp is fun. I've also been playing a little Diablo 2 and 7 Days to Die, with a soupcon of Civ IV

I've just started Snakebird which is a ridiculously difficult puzzle game that reminds me of Jelly no Puzzle - there's only a few options at any point so how have I spent so long repeating the same things to no avail?

There Is No Game: Wrong Dimension was brilliant fun, it shows lots of love for the kind of games I used to play.

Pokemon Leaf Green using Lemuroid on LineageOS (open source android) on my mobile. I already got the seventh badge. 💪

After that I'll probably try Pokemon Omega Ruby.

Playing Crosscode on a recommendation from a previous post when I was looking for an SNES style action RPG. It checks almost all my boxes. Great 16 bit graphics with smooth modern physics, lots of action, fun characters, skill trees and fun items, puzzles, satisfying combat. I'm having a great time with it!!!

It’s been a month without patience since TOTK dropped, and I am working on We Love Katamari Rerolled in between. Will likely resume my patience after I’m done with these but it might be another couple posts before that happens. Interested in what everyone else has been up to though and hoping to contribute to the community and increase engagement!

Just started Persona 3 FES the other day when Reload turned out to be a disappointment. Loving it so far!

Halfway through Dishonored 2 ATM and loving it - feels a bit slicker and more polished than the original which I also adored. The game had a lot of issues with motion sickness in the past which prevented me from experiencing it.

Is the game enjoyable without playing the first one? Got it for free on PlayStation+ a few weeks ago but didn't want to miss on important details.

Difficult to say what it'd be like as a newcomer as I'm quite familiar with the world and characters.

The gameplay is slick as ever and I'd argue more fun than the first, but there's not much of a tutorial at the beginning - a fair amount of assumed knowledge is implied.

I'd say for the best experience, you should still play the first one as there's plenty of throwback in the second installment's story. They're very much married in that respect.

If you're curious, the first one must be quite cheap these days and well worth it in my opinion.

I've been enjoying Minecraft: Dungeons with the kids.

[-] limeaide@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 year ago

How is it? I've never tried it before but it looks fun

[-] friedmag@lemmy.ml 0 points 1 year ago

It is! It's just hack and slash but a lot of variations keep things fun. There are several different game modes. And Mojang knows a thing or two about procedural generation so even the same levels stay interesting.

Might check it out sometime! Thanks!!

A gaming sub free from the hype and oversaturation of current releases, catering to gamers who wait at least 12 months after release to play a game. Whether it's price, waiting for bugs/issues to be patched, DLC to be released, don't meet the system requirements, or just haven't had the time to keep up with the latest releases.
