I'm enjoying it and feel it fits as a chapter 3 of his story.
Must say I am enjoying it myself, possibly a bit of a guilty pleasure but reminds of some of the fun times I had when Frasier first aired.
late to this party, but i just finished a rewatch of the first series in order to jump into the new one.
i give it a B+. its not fantastic, but it has promise. its kept some (not all) of the original charm. there is an occasional spark of the great writing seen in the original, but some lazy tropish nonsense also.
i hate what theyve done with the analog for my favorite character, niles. the kid (david) is.. hmm hes not doing a terrible niles impression... but thats what it comes off as. maybe he just cant act, but the character just doesnt feel organic/genuine.
and then the worst piece, the laugh track. please for the love of all that is holy no. just no. no laugh tracks. they should die out with cigarettes and cancer.
