Report both to admins. Luckily I've managed to avoid both but I remember Lemmy Shitposting had a big problem with it at one point.
Man, what is with shitposting and meme communities always being so ass?
pretty sure its not the communities themselves, they are just big enough captive audiences that are most likely to click on images, so they are a big target for stuff like this
It was less the community itself being ass and more the actions of malicious outsiders.
and meme communities
fwiw !rpgmemes@ttrpg.network, !lotrmemes@midwest.social, and !risa@startrek.website are among my favourite communities. Their equivalents on the alien site were pretty good back in the day, too.
Damn yesterday there was a vore and shidding fetish post on lemmygrad memes
Yep I had the misfortune of seeing the child porn, I reported all of it. First time in 3 months so it's not that bad really
I guess I've been lucky. Never been exposed to anything like that. Other shock things like gore and stuff either. I hear about that stuff being posted fairly frequently, but thankfully I've never stumbled into it.
I saw a thumbnail, noped out of there and closed Lemmy for the day just to be safe. Seriously what the fuck is wrong with people ._.
Yup, that was bad.
