Those two minions on either side of Khan in the bottom panel- could those be his daughters with Marla? They're the right age.....
Wouldn't they be 15-17 give or take? They look a bit upwards, but then, sudden onset desert life might do that.
The effects of stress and malnutrition might also age them. I was just reading Isabella Bird's travelogue of Kurdistan and Persia in 1890-1891. She remarks VERY often how prematurely aged the women look, so that's been on my mind.
They look Australian. Actually, they all do.
