I'm trying to set up retroachievements for PSCX2 on my steam deck via retrodeck, but I'm not sure it's working. What game has an achievement that is very easy to unlock and can be unlocked almost immediately, to make it easy to test?

Copying from the cross post:

Update: I managed to find and fix my issue. Turns out PSCX2 thought I wasn't logged in, even though I was. So I logged out and back in again and it sorted itself.

I found it out by opening PSCX2 directly, going to Tools > enable log window. Then I launched the game and looked at the log window and saw a section starting with the word Achievements, and it said something along the lines of "skipping check as we're not logged in".

Hopefully this will be some help to someone in the future!

My understanding is if it's working, you should see a message in the upper corner when launching a compatible game. You should also be able to see a list of available achievements in the PSCX2 pause menu while the game is running.

I wasn't seeing that, but I managed to find out why it wasn't working. Turns out PSCX2 thought I wasn't logged in to retro achievements, even though I was. But logging out and back in fixed it

From that time I remember people getting Avatar: The Last Airbender - The Burning Earth because you could get all of the achievements in under 5 minutes by just spamming your basic attack on the tutorial mobs

That was just for the Xbox 360 version wasn't it? And it probably doesn't apply to Retroachievements either way.

To be honest I have no idea how retroachievements works. I just remembered that game as being easy to get all of them and assumed it'd be the same across platforms like most achievements are these days

Retroachievements are community made achievements for games and systems from before the idea was implemented in the xbox360. As op stated, this is for the PS2, a console released back in 2000

Anubis II might be useful for that. It's a notorious shovelware, but the 1st level might be short enough to test your setup

Simpsons Hit and Run has an achiv for completing the tutorial, dunno how long it takes, so there's that, too
