Whoa, is that date actually when this was published? Not quite prescient, but only four weeks before "the world ended" if you go by how that felt at the time.

Yeah. I'm not clear on exact timeline, but he started publishing these in 2001 in The Daily Orange, his college newspaper. Sometime between then and 2005 according to archive.org he started putting them on the website. The dates for these posts are pulled from the site's HTML, so I assume they're correct.
