Capitalism working as intended

And in the little leisure time I have, I take on massive projects to potentially make a living off, but it just burns me out even more

Then don't, bro

Leisure rhymes with pleasure, not with work

How can I relax knowing that I likely won’t ever retire without some sort of secondary source of income?

But the idea is to stop having to go do soul-draining work and replace that by doing something you can actually enjoy.

If you turn your hobbies into a job, they won't feel like hobbies anymore, and you'll only have work left.

Find a job you can tolerate and use it to fund the hobbies you love.

I really wish it could just be something that somehow paid the bills, but didn't demand your heart and soul, have wacky or unstable hours, and take up the ever-loving entirety of all but two days each week.

I think that's where this "If I could just earn a little money without hating it I could actually do something I enjoy." Push comes from.

If someone could comfortably exist on part-time, heck yeah, get that bread and do hobbies on the off hours! Balance! But where the heck does that come from with these full time jobs? Especially if you've got family or whatever. Especially when limiting to only 40 hours is even rare sometimes.

And where do the groceries and house cleaning and doctor's appointments come in?

I'm personally worried that we'll just be split into the "Gets to do fun fulfilling things for an audience" class, and the "Gets to be the audience" class.

I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of streamers started simply so they could justify enjoying videogames... And I find that kinda sad...

Sorry don't mean to vent existential crisis on main LOL. I just genuinely don't know how people do it...

I'm part time, I'd LOVE to be learning and making games just for fun, but the System(TM) is designed so the water keeps rising if you're not constantly hustling. You can't just... Do what you do and be fine...and it's so damn exhausting...

Makes you feel bad for all those skeletons you killed in skyrim. Like maybe they were just trying to make a living and get home to their skeleton wife and kids. And they drop like some shitty 2 gold pieces and bonemeal or something. Now their skeleton kids are starving. Probably don’t get a free meal at skeleton school. They’ll just grow up to haunt some other dungeon instead of contributing to society.
