If you turn your hobbies into a job, they won't feel like hobbies anymore, and you'll only have work left.
Find a job you can tolerate and use it to fund the hobbies you love.
I really wish it could just be something that somehow paid the bills, but didn't demand your heart and soul, have wacky or unstable hours, and take up the ever-loving entirety of all but two days each week.
I think that's where this "If I could just earn a little money without hating it I could actually do something I enjoy." Push comes from.
If someone could comfortably exist on part-time, heck yeah, get that bread and do hobbies on the off hours! Balance! But where the heck does that come from with these full time jobs? Especially if you've got family or whatever. Especially when limiting to only 40 hours is even rare sometimes.
And where do the groceries and house cleaning and doctor's appointments come in?
I'm personally worried that we'll just be split into the "Gets to do fun fulfilling things for an audience" class, and the "Gets to be the audience" class.
I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of streamers started simply so they could justify enjoying videogames... And I find that kinda sad...

I'm part time, I'd LOVE to be learning and making games just for fun, but the System(TM) is designed so the water keeps rising if you're not constantly hustling. You can't just... Do what you do and be fine...and it's so damn exhausting...
