Put them in shower.

Turn shower on.

Leave. Eventually the soaked clothes and water will annoy them enough they'll stop spiralling, at least.

Instructions unclear, my life is now the plot of a bad yaoi manga

[-] davidagain@lemmy.world 1 points 8 hours ago* (last edited 8 hours ago)

I never remember which one yaoi is. Is it the girl-girl one or the boy-boy one?

Congrats on the shower loving either way.

You know, if thats where it ends up, that's where it ends up.

My buddy back in college used to have random panic attacks. A calm conversation about something unrelated and a bannana would help a lot.

Something about eating slowly seems to short circuit the panic part of the brain, or maybe the blowjob jokes associated with eating a bannana slowly

[-] darthsundhaft@piefed.social 2 points 16 hours ago

I heard you do this also when someone is having a seizure.

[-] bluesheep@sh.itjust.works 46 points 1 day ago

Turn that panic attack into a panic assault

[-] red_tomato@lemmy.world 34 points 1 day ago

Sonic and Shadow seem to have the better idea

[-] subignition@fedia.io 8 points 1 day ago

That's just yelling from particularly close range

This is "download and send to the group chat" worthy, but I'm too old to deal with the "What's that in the background?"

[-] Jankatarch@lemmy.world 5 points 14 hours ago* (last edited 14 hours ago)

If you describe what's happening in the background as you are sending it, they won't have to ask what it is.

Also made it super bright, saved, and then lowered brightness to somehow get this on my phone.
What to do when someone has a panic attack? Yell at them.

[-] Notyou@sopuli.xyz 7 points 22 hours ago

😂 I didn't even notice and had to go back for that.

[-] LemmyFeed@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 21 hours ago

Just send it and gaslight everyone that there's nothing in the background.

STOP RESISTING

[-] criss_cross@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

When did my mother join Lemmy?

[-] sundray@lemmus.org 18 points 1 day ago

This ends the attack by causing a buffer overflow.

[-] yermaw@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 day ago

Point out, real calm like, that its all in their head and that they've got no reason to panic. Then trauma dump all the reasons you have to panic and why they need to chill the fuck out dude seriously

NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE NIGHTMARE

[-] nutbutter@discuss.tchncs.de 9 points 1 day ago

[-] Imgonnatrythis@sh.itjust.works 4 points 1 day ago

Would post this up around work as a PSA but what's with the subliminal message?

[-] CultLeader4Hire@lemmy.world 2 points 1 day ago

[-] Lumidaub@feddit.org 1 points 1 day ago

Riker, having usurped Kirk to steal the Enterprise, is having second thoughts about it and co-conspirator Spock is trying to calm him down?
